And he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them,
saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”
And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying,
"This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood.

Tonight we will gather at church to observe Maundy Thursday. Our pastor will speak the very words of Jesus before we come forward to receive the body and blood of our Savior. In this sacred sacrament we receive forgiveness and are strengthened in body and soul. May our lives reflect the sacrifice and shine forth in living witness of all our God and Savior did and does for us.
